<<堪玉钏>> 劇情簡介

明代,钱塘富户俞仁,有女素秋许张少莲,后因嫌少莲贫寒,逼其 退婚。素秋母女私赠张玉钏一只,嘱其变卖迎娶。丫环误将玉钏赠与韩臣, 韩遂冒名往俞家骗婚。是夜,贼盗俞家,杀死夫人、丫环,劫去衣物及另一 玉钏。途中,败为更夫追赶,遂将包袱丢在少莲门首,少莲因而被诬为盗, 屈打成招。素秋见少莲非成婚之人,知被骗失节,羞愤自制。韩臣妹玉姐, 见兄有玉钏,几次索要未得;适贼售玉钏,玉姐欲买未成,贼又窃去韩臣玉 钏。正遇县令熊瑞过此,将贼拿获。御史陈智传讯韩臣,玉姐上堂申述,案 情大白。玉姐爱慕少莲, 由陈撮合,成为夫妇。

The Synopsis <Trail of the Jade Bracelets>

During the Ming dynasty a rich man named Yu Ren of Qiantangjiang province promised to marry his daughter Sue Chiu to Zhang Shaolian. Several years later, Zhang’s household lost its fortune, Yu Ren changed his mind and forced Zhang to give up the scheduled marriage.. Sue Chiu and her Mom insisted on carrying out the promise. Sue Chiu even asked her maid to send Zhang a jade bracelet, so that Zhang could sell it for money and used that money to prepare handsome gifts to her greedy father.

The maid made a mistake by sending the bracelet to Zhang’s friend Han. Han then pretended to be Zhang and tied the knot with Sue Chiu. One night a thief broke into Yu’s house, killed the mother and the maid, robbed them of some clothes and one jade bracelet.

As the thief was pursued by some night guards, he dropped the clothes around Zhang’s house. Zhang was arrested and was tortured to plead guilty. Sue Chiu committed suicide after she became aware that she had lost her virginity to an imposter. Han had a sister called Yu Jie, and she was very much interested in that jade bracelet kept by her brother. She wished to have it in vain. One day the thief came to sell the robbed bracelet to Yu Jie.. In a confusion, the thief walked away with Han’s bracelet. It so happened that the county magistrate Xiong and an imperial commissioner Chen passed by and caught the thief. Yu Jie went to the court to explain everything. Yu and Zhang were attracted to each other. Under the aegis of commissioner Chen, they became a couple.
